Stan Wraight, VP Volga-Dnepr Group

AirBridge Cargo (ABC), a subsidiary of Volga-Dnepr Group, has today announced a number of new appointments in Asia, Russia and The Netherlands to support the continued development of its scheduled cargo network.

Stan Wraight, Vice President of Volga-Dnepr Group, will also now assume responsibility for sales and marketing for AirBridge Cargo, replacing Andy Vargoczky, who has left the company to return to Australia for family reasons. "We wish to thank Andy for his important contribution to the development of ABC and wish him and his family every success with their new life in Australia," said Stan Wraight.

Robert Song is appointed deputy director of sales and service for the Asia Pacific region, headed by Peter Yap. Mr. Song was previously regional manager for cargo transportation at Air New Zealand.

Maxim Ivanov is appointed as marketing and business development manager for Asia Pacific region. He joins ABC from East Line where he held the post of general director of its representative office in Beijing.

With AirBridge due to extend its network to Nagoya in the New Year, the airline has announced the appointment of Sagami Katsuhiko to head up its developments in Japan. He joins ABC after a successful career with KLM Cargo.

In order to carry out the complex Russian hubs development program, a new director for Siberia and the Far East region has also been appointed. Alexander Mazilin will be in charge of the Krasnoyarsk hub development as well as the further development of the region's sales network. He was formerly the general representative of Uzbek Airlines in overseas postings, and worked at their head office for many years.

Anton Khodakovsky remains as head of AirBridge Cargo's sales department for the Central region of Russia and the CIS. He has experience of managing the regional sales and service office of British Airways World Cargo in Russia before joining ABC.

Sergei Ustimenko is appointed Financial Director of AirBridge Cargo based in Moscow. Sergei brings a wealth of experience to AirBridge and as Finance Director he will lead the global team in all finance matters, reporting to Denis Ilyin, Managing Director of ABC.

With the opening of a new office in Amsterdam, Bart Schellens, who has proven to be a very efficient and experienced finance manager at AirBridge Cargo, will also take the position of regional director finance, based in Amsterdam. He will have global accountability on all international finance matters. Reporting to Sergei Ustimenko, Bart is expected to give ABC an efficient customer interface and improve our Management information systems.
