The chief executive of Airbus on Wednesday said he was "still confident" the company could reach its target of manufacturing 75 single-aisle aircraft a month in 2027.

Guillaume Faury said the target had been set at a "prudent level", and the European group would continue production at a similar pace for some years after achieving the target.

"The plan is to go to 75 and stay at 75 for some years," he told reporters in London.
