American Airlines Cargo is proud to announce that it has been named the “Air Cargo Operator of the Year” by the Freight Transport Association (FTA) during the Multimodal Awards in Birmingham, United Kingdom in April.
The award, voted on by thousands of readers of the Multimodal newsletter and FTA members and exhibitors, recognizes “excellence in air, road, rail, maritime, and freight forwarding services.”
The FTA is a trade association that supports, shapes and advocates for efficient logistics. Members of the FTA represent road, rail, sea and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers whose businesses depend on the efficient movement of goods.
The award marks the third time American has been recognized this year. American also received the Express Cargo Service Standard of Excellence award from the Express Delivery & Logistics Association and was named the International Carrier of the Year by the Airforwarders Association.
“This award means a lot to us because of the time, energy, effort and resources we put into making sure we provide operational excellence for our customers,” said Tristan Koch, managing director cargo sales, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). “We’re grateful and humbled that the FTA and the Multimodal community have recognized us as such.”
