In a statement Commissioner Anderson said, "It is an honor to be re-elected as Commissioner for the Port of Beaumont. I have learned so much in the last six years and look forward to the next six years as we continue to grow. I believe that serving our community is very important, especially since it has been my home for the last 72 years. I also want to say thank you to the people who supported me throughout this process. I will do and give my best for the Port of Beaumont to make sure I am representing the people of our area well.
We have a great Port staff and Port Director and a proactive Board of Commissioners. I am looking forward working with our new commissioner, Dr. Willard, and moving our Port forward."
