Total Movements, a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, was entrusted with the responsibility of transporting 2999 tons of HH Rails from the discharge port to the project site including unloading and stacking at the BMRCL Depot with a notice of less than 7 days. A spokesperson for the company said: “The complete consignment was required to be evacuated from the port on an urgent basis, hence our operations team made all the arrangements at a rapid pace.”

Specialized vehicles had to travel a distance of about 350 kilometers in a single trip from the port to the site. Our team remained steadfast, continuously tracked the delivery status, returned the vehicles with timely unloading, and safely delivered the entire consignment to the site in just 20 days.

The challenge was the project site was located at one of the busiest areas of the city, with limitations in the number of vehicles that could comply and remain at the site at a single time. Our technical and operations team collaborated with the project owner closely before entering the site and maneuvering the vehicles inside throughout for quick unloading. Our team also developed practical and customized solutions for stacking the rail pieces safely. Stacking had to be precise and meticulous in order to meet expectations, therefore, our experience of handling this type of cargo came in handy, ultimately winning the customer’s appreciation.”
