Mercator Media Ltd, organisers of GreenPort Cruise & Congress are pleased to announce the 2022 Conference is heading to Port of Zeebrugge, from 18-20 October.

Zeebrugge, the seaport of Bruges, is one of the world’s foremost roll-on/roll-off deep-sea container ports, where at least 40 million tonnes of goods are transhipped annually. The offering of both intra-European and intercontinental services makes Zeebrugge an important access port to the European markets.

Officials at Port of Zeebrugge commented “The Port of Zeebrugge, welcomes GreenPort Cruise & Congress. Our ambition is to be the world’s first port to reconcile economy, people and climate.”

The 2022 conference will cover a range of themes including Green Hydrogen, Sustainable Partnerships, monitoring of physical, chemical, and biological components whilst controlling their impacts, collaborative community projects, links between ports & shipping, eco-cruise ships and sustainable cruise initiatives in Europe.

The GreenPort Cruise & Congress brings together the whole port community and is a platform for the exchange of information on the latest in sustainable environmental practice. Experts from the Port will be present at the conference, speaking to delegates on their current developments.

The Congress will assist maritime ports and terminals in reducing their carbon footprints whilst becoming more sensitive to environmental considerations, which is vital to their future success.
