As well as managing the forwarding of project cargo into the UK from overseas, Denholm Project Forwarding, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the United Kingdom, also manages the transportation of out-of-gauge shipments within the UK.
A recent example is the transportation of beer production equipment from Liverpool to Manchester in January, which was carried out in cooperation with fellow WWPC member with LS Cargo Logistics from Germany. To safely transport the 6 metre wide loads, Denholm Project Forwarding coordinated well in advance with the police and local authorities to secure the necessary police escorts and road closures.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Although the distance shipped was relatively short, Denholm Project Forwarding’s approach to meticulous planning was still required to ensure a safe, smooth and on-time delivery on behalf of its client.”
