The Holiday Giving Tree at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market is back for a fifth season. This year, we are changing things up.

Instead of a traditional tree, we are using decorated apple boxes to make two donation trees. The boxes have been kindly donated by Noggins Corner Farm. Customers and vendors are invited to fill the boxes with their generous donations. This year, Adsum for Women and Children is the recipient of these special holiday gifts. Specifically, people are asked to donate new mittens, gloves, hats, socks, and scarves.

“We all see the struggles people are facing this year because of rising costs, and we really hope that those who can afford to give will help us out,” said Sarah Rector, Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market. “Every year, the generosity of our customers and vendors has exceeded our expectations. We are incredibly proud of how our Market community comes together.”

Donation items will be accepted starting on Saturday, November 12, 2022, and will be received until Saturday, December 31, 2022. The Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market is now located within Pavilion 23, 961 Marginal Road, in the Historic Halifax Seaport District.
