TNW Corporation, a privately held owner and operator of short line railroads and transportation logistics companies, has been selected by the Victoria County Navigation District (VCND) in Victoria, Texas to provide the Port of Victoria’s rail operations and co-develop a planned 3000 acre multimodal logistics facility.

The Port of Victoria (POV) is a shallow draft inland port facility that provides access to the Intracoastal Waterway, a shipping route stretching 3,000 miles along the U.S. coast. It offers rail access to Houston, San Antonio and Austin, and intersects with three major U.S. highways that connect to these cities. The POV North and South Industrial Sites are situated on over 3,000 acres. The site is served with two Class 1 railroads and offers multimodal transportation solutions and logistics advantages.

“TNW’s alliance with the Port of Victoria will bring significant growth to the economic development in Victoria. Their industry knowledge and resources in railroading and logistics will add significant value for our customers, who will be able to take advantage of transportation and service options as our port grows and expands,” said Executive Director of the POV, Sean Stibich.

“We are excited about the opportunity to assist in developing and growing this outstanding facility, said Wade Hoffmann, TNW’s Vice President of marketing and Sales. “We believe our alliance will increase business volumes and investment, resulting in new jobs and economic vitality in the region.”
