Provides logistics services for Isle of Arran Distillery

BAX Global Inc. announced the approval by United Kingdom Customs and Excise for excise storage at BAX Global's Glasgow facility, in conjunction with a three-year contract with the Isle of Arran Distillers Ltd. BAX's Glasgow facility is the first in its global network to gain excise approval.

BAX in Glasgow has a modern 32,000 square feet facility to provide bonded storage for Isle of Arran's Scotch Whisky. The Lochranza-based distillery will have a dedicated team of BAX employees to service and maintain the account.

Mark Callachan, planning manager for Isle of Arran Distillers said, "We found the visit to BAX's warehouse very informative. We were impressed with the set up and enthusiasm from BAX on moving forward with this new venture."

Through BAX, Isle of Arran is receiving enhanced inventory visibility and control, improved service standards and cycle times, documentation and customs management, and increased security. The Glasgow office is Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA) approved, guaranteeing secure storage and movement of high value goods. Additional services include re-work, applying special import stickers, re-packing regular stock into gift cartons and re-labeling bottles.

"BAX is helping Isle of Arran solve transportation and logistics challenges by providing services closer to their customers. Their customers will have easier access to stock, shortened transit times, and reduced transportation costs by locating storage and fulfillment at BAX facilities in Glasgow," said Alyson Good, business development executive for BAX Global in Glasgow.
