BDP International has promoted Arnie Bornstein from director to executive director marketing and corporate communications.

"Arnie will formally expand his role in developing and executing marketing and public relations strategies, plans and tactics to support the company's reputation management and global business growth," said Ken Wensel, BDP senior vice president strategic global development, in announcing the promotion. "Working with BDP executives and regional and country leaders, he will provide advice and counsel for determining and directing the company's market positioning with relevant constituencies, including customers, prospects, employees, global partners, trade allies, the media, and the industry at large."

Prior to joining BDP in 1997, Bornstein served for more than 10 years as a director in Conrail's public affairs department, where his responsibilities included marketing communications as well as strategic and tactical initiatives in support of crisis management, employee alignment, Total Quality Management (TQM) and safety. Early in his career, he also worked in public relations in the energy industry.

Bornstein has served as president of both the Association of Railroad Advertising & Marketing and the Transportation Marketing & Communications Association. A graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, he resides with his wife in Lumberton, NJ.
