BigOceanData is pleased to welcome Andrew Luxton to the team, joining us as Business Development Manager – Maritime Intelligence. The role will support the ongoing expansion of BigOceanData’s intelligence tools and analytics services, building on the company’s success to date across the shipping, insurance and government sectors with notable clients such as Maersk and Norwegian Hull Club.
Andrew previously worked for Lloyd’s List Intelligence where he held various commercial roles including sales manager in London and most recently as a key account director, working with AIS-based fleet data-led solutions and consultancy projects across the shipping, energy and commodity sectors.
BigOceanData provides customers with a wide range of solutions based on total fleet coverage, ownership, visibility of ports, berths and terminals worldwide, and real-time global vessel movements with voyage records going back to 2009. Its expertise is based on over 20 years’ experience in vessel tracking, fleet management systems and VMS. “BigOceanData is a fantastic fusion of maritime intelligence and technical capability,” says Andrew. “Our agility and service levels enable us to work with customers who need innovative digital partners to help them with a range of challenges such as risk, efficiencies, cost reduction and business development.”
Looking ahead to 2020, route optimisation, vessel performance analytics and supply chain visibility will be just some of the layered intelligence services that BigOceanData will be working on with its clients via the provision of enterprise software solutions, integrated data services and consultancy services.
