This past Sunday, Bolloré Logistics was part of an historic moment when the Airbus A300-600ST Super Transporter (Beluga), landed in South America for the first time in its history.

Helibras entrusted Bolloré Logistics to transport their ACH160 helicopter from Marseille, France to Viracopos - Campinas International Airport (VCP) in São Paulo, for final assembly. The helicopter will be assembled at Azul Linhas Aéreas' MRO facility at São Paulo's Viracopos Airport, where the Beluga remained based a few days before returning to Europe.

The teams of Bolloré Logistics in France and Brazil provided end-to-end services for this historic project including the loading and unloading supervision of the helicopter on the aircraft; export and import customs formalities and transportation to the site for assembling operations of the helicopter safely and within the required timeline.

Bolloré Logistics is a renowned expert in helicopters logistics, with an experience of moving helicopters around the world for more than 50 years. This project is the fourth charter with a Beluga aircraft for helicopter transport making Bolloré Logistics a unique partner to have such experience in this sector.

“The challenge implied great experience and knowledge of the components, their handling and care during transportation, due to the large dimensions and weight of the equipment, but it was certainly achieved successfully with the collaboration of experts in the field,” commented Gustavo Santi, Managing Director for Bollore Logistics Brazil. “We thank Helibras for giving us the opportunity to be part of this great journey that has made history in aerospace logistics.”
