Broekman Logistics will use the logistics facility in Venlo for storage, logistics and assembly activities for various products, including 50% of ADR goods. The total warehouse surface area is 53,000m2. There are also more than 10,000m2 of mezzanine floors and 2,500m2 of office space available. The development will take place in various phases, and the workforce will increase from an initial 150 jobs to 300 jobs in parallel with these phases.
“In Broekman Logistics we have found a partner to build a new logistics facility and to contribute to our growth strategy in the Netherlands,” says Ralph Caspanni, CEO of Heylen Warehouses. “With this triple-A visibility location, we’ll be offering the best possible accessibility by road, water and rail.”
A second step in combined storage
With the new warehouse in Venlo, Broekman Logistics is taking a second step towards offering combined storage. The opening of the warehouse on the Maasvlakte has already taken place last week. At this strategic location, close to the Maasvlakte container terminals, customers can also make use of combined storage for both ADR and non-ADR goods.
Broekman Logistics’ combined storage locations are located in the area known by the government as the ‘Logistics Corridor’. Through these, Broekman Logistics can offer its customers the opportunity of serving the European market directly and conveniently. All of the locations meet the strictest safety and environmental standards.
