Ceres Terminals Incorporated is pleased to announce the opening of a new Empty Container Yard Facility in Port Houston that is operated by its joint venture, Houston Terminal, LLC. The new facility is located inside the Port Houston’s Bayport Container Terminal.

Houston Terminals’ Empty Container Yard Facility is twenty-six acres and will handle empty containers for 2M partners, MSC and Maersk, as well as others. The facility offers all of the necessary services to accommodate customer requirements such as empty container storage, container maintenance and repair, container examination, container stuffing and stripping, all done with modern equipment and 24/7 availability of professional staff.

Houston Terminal, LLC was formed in 2007 as a joint venture of Ceres Terminals Inc. and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). MSC’s ownership was transferred in 2016 to Terminal Investment Limited (TIL). It has since become the most productive and highest volume container stevedore in Port Houston. As an established and trustworthy, stevedoring company, it has a longstanding commitment to operational safety and dedicated customer support. Currently, Houston Terminal holds the distinction of being the only active Stevedore in the Houston area operating out of both the Bayport and Barbours Cut container terminals.

“Houston Terminal has been a vibrant and profitable partner for Ceres in Port Houston. We are excited to witness their expansion with the addition of the new Empty Container Yard. Most importantly, we look forward to bringing another ‘added value’ to the shippers who utilize this terminal and all of its outstanding, professional services.” commented Craig Mygatt, CEO, Ceres Terminals Inc.
