An unloaded container chassis is up to ten metres long and weighs up to 5,500 kilos. And yet despite their size, these chassis still frequently disappear without a trace. American Trucking Associations’ advanced seasonally adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index was down 2.3% in March after decreasing 1.5% in February. In March, the index equaled 113.2 (2015=100) compared with 115.8 in February.
