China will cut import tariffs on goods including machinery, paper, textiles and construction materials from Nov. 1, in a move that would lower costs for consumers and companies as a trade war with the U.S. deepens.

French President Emmanuel Macron told the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday that trade pacts shouldn’t be signed with countries that don’t respect the 2015 Paris climate treaty.

The U.S. is moving forward on its bilateral trade deal with Mexico by month-end even if Canada is left out because negotiators can’t resolve their sharp differences over dairy and a dispute resolution system, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said.
