AAL launches 25th anniversary with successful transport of six RTGs along Iits Asia - Americas Service

Award winning multipurpose and project heavy lift carrier, AAL, has opened its 25th year of operations with the successful delivery of a cargo of six RTGs (rubber tyred gantry cranes) in a single sailing from the Port of Taicang to the South Florida Container Terminal (Port Miami), onboard its mega-size 31,000dwt vessel, the AAL Newcastle. The cargo was shipped along AAL’s Asia - Americas service, which offers regular sailings and flexible port calls along the trade.

Caldwell Adjustable Spreader Beam Lifts Rothera Wharf Frames in Antarctica

(46t) capacity lifting beam for the latest phase of the wharf modernization at British Antarctic Survey’s Rothera Research Station. Caldwell specifically designed and manufactured the lifting system to suit the harsh, cold environment.

Together, the drums weighed 122.19mtn and they faced a challenging schedule as first, the shipper delayed the pickup by two weeks for welding and painting and then, because of the rescheduled pickup date, they faced the added challenge of hurricane Dorian's arrival.
