China will exempt additional tariffs on U.S. aircraft radar and some other radar equipment imposed during the trade dispute with U.S., State Council’s tariff office says Tuesday.
- According to the new list on tariff exemption, 79 items including medical disinfectants, rare-earth ore, silver and gold ore and concentrate, some nickel, aluminum alloy products were added
- The exemption will be effective for a year starting May 19
Since September last year, China has issued four lists of U.S. goods eligible for exemption of retaliatory duties. Besides that, China announced a list of 696 American products including key agricultural and energy products eligible for punitive tariff waivers in February, in a move to support companies to start purchasing and importing from the U.S. for the implementation of China-U.S. phase one deal.
