CIRCLE S.p.A. Innovative SME listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market at the head of the Group of the same name specializing in the process, analysis, and development of solutions for the digitalization of the port and intermodal logistics sectors and in international consultancy on the Green Deal and energy transition issues – announces that it has signed an agreement with a Mediterranean port for the use of the federated services offered by the Group.

The agreement worth about Euro 300,000 will last for 12 months and is part of a Smart and Evolved Digital Port project, of which the Freight component will be dedicated to the management and digitization of information and documentation related to the flows of embarking and disembarking, goods and vehicles.

The provision of services will be based on the implementation of the MILOS ® Transport Federative Platform, with particular reference to the modules of the MILOS ® Port Hauler Module dedicated to the management of advance notice of arrival, the registration of relevant events, such as delays, rescheduling, change of transport or customs situations that may affect transport, and the activation of a mobile ‘app’ for drivers to view advance notice and their authorization status; the services will then be integrated into the system of operations at the port road gates.

The contract also provides for the implementation of the Federative Module of the MILOS ® Gate Operating System (GOS) for the management of operations at port road gates. The GOS will have different configurations at the different gates, with automatic number plate recognition, ensuring smooth operations and exception management. This module will also interoperate in gate automation mode with Terminal systems, ensuring the validity of advance notices and the recording of transit data.

“Ports are subject to a major digital transition, a trend that represents an opportunity to consolidate document dematerialization and, at the same time, optimize processes through digital information exchange and federated platform integration. The automation of readings, operated by the GOS, allows the automatic acquisition of data, eliminating the need for manual entries; the federation of data allows an automatic exchange with all actors. This paradigm (and our MILOS) ensure efficiency and optimization within the node, significantly improving information management in line with the ‘Connect 4 Agile Growth 2027’ Plan”, commented Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group.
