CMA CGM and P&O Nedlloyd are pleased to announce the opening of a new service, ABEX (Americas Bridge Express), linking the east coast of the USA to the East Coast of South America.
Starting June 5, 2005, 5 x 2500 teu ships will be deployed on this weekly service to service the Brazilian market.
The rotation will be as follows: Charleston, Norfolk, New York, Paranagua, San Francisco do Sul, Santos, Rio de Janeiro/Sepetiba, Suape and come back to Charleston.
With the opening of this service, CMA CGM and P&O Nedlloyd will improve their offer by supplying very competitive transit times.
Rodolphe Saade, CMA CGM Chief Executive Vice President, indicates that "the development of this new service confirms the determination of CMA CGM to supply their customers with a service offer always better adapted from and toward Latin America".
