Crane Worldwide Logistics, a full-service air, ocean, trucking, customs brokerage and logistics company, recently renewed it SmartWay® Transport Partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

SmartWay®, which was launched in 2004, is an EPA program that reduces transportation-related emissions by creating incentives to improve supply chain fuel efficiency. The SmartWay® Transport Partnership helps freight companies improve fuel efficiency, increase environmental performance and increase supply chain sustainability.

“Crane Worldwide has always been committed to sustainability. We believe it is important to be a responsible corporate citizen and positively impact global sustainability by leaving the world a better place for future generations and giving back to the communities in which we operate,” said John Magee, president and CEO of Crane Worldwide Logistics.

Crane Worldwide has been recognized as a SmartWay® Transport partner since opening its doors in 2008.

“Our dedication to sustainability is evident through the way we handle our business operations by meeting federal, state and local laws in all company locations,” Magee said. “Not only have we been SmartWay® recognized for five straight years, but we have also been LEED certified and have opened offices in a CarbonNeutral® development.”

Crane Worldwide also has an initiative called “Green Worldwide” which encourages each Crane Worldwide location to find their own way to make the world a better place. Each business unit tracks the carbon footprint of our transactions, so customers can know how their projects affect the environment.
