Crowley Shipping has added Jorge Caez to its chartering services team to further enhance the industry-leading services the company provides to its petroleum transportation customers.
Caez, as director of chartering, brings significant experience to Crowley from the offshore, heavy-barge segment and bunker markets. He previously held multiple positions in major barge transportation and petroleum companies, including roles in chartering, marketing, purchasing and sales coordination.
A graduate of Penn State University, Caez will be based in Jacksonville, Fla., and report to John Ara, vice president, sales and chartering for Crowley’s petroleum services group.
“Jorge’s strong experience in diverse functions of our industry will help our customers continue to benefit from efficient, safe and reliable petroleum transportation services,” said Ara. “His expertise is a natural fit for our strategic growth plans in key services and markets.”
Crowley is the largest independent operator of tank vessels for petroleum and chemical transportation in the U.S. coastwise trade with 40 owned or operated vessels. In 2018, Crowley transported more than 550 million barrels of product safely and dependably without a spill incident.
