David Wenger, President & CEO of RoadLink USA East, named Traffic Club of Philadelphia's 2005 Transportation Person of the Year

David C. Wenger serves as President & CEO of RoadLink USA East. Mr. Wenger is also a member of the Board of Directors of RoadLink USA. He has been a member of The Traffic Club of Philadelphia for over 25 years. Mr. Wenger formed Eastern America Transport & Warehousing in 1978 to focus on intermodal trucking as opportunities began to expand with transportation deregulation. Eastern America grew over the years to include customs bonded warehousing, truckload services and mail consolidation. In 2000 Eastern America became a founding company of RoadLink USA, a nationwide intermodal drayage company.

Mr. Wenger is celebrating his 40th year in transportation, warehousing, logistics and multi modal trucking. He currently employs over 100 terminal operations, warehouse, sales and maintenance personnel, of which 10 have been with him for over 25 years. RoadLink USA East also employs over 400 drivers and owner operators in the states of PA, NJ, NY, MD and VA. Over 200 of these drivers are located in terminals that are in Pennsylvania and 85 of those drivers are based in Philadelphia. David is known nationally as one of the most influential and knowledgeable trucking and drayage professionals in the nation. Mr. Wenger attended La Salle University in Philadelphia, served in the United States Marine Corp and is certified in Import and Export Finance, and Transportation Management. In 1992 Merrill Lynch, Grant Thorton, and Inc. Magazine named David Entrepreneur of the Year. David serves on several charity boards dedicated to handicapped children.
