DHL relocates and doubles its Orlando footprint

  • DHL eCommerce Solutions new distribution center is double the size of its previous location
  • The new facility can handle 100% more volume than its previous location with potential for future expansion.

DHL eCommerce Solutions, a division of the world’s leading logistics company, Deutsche Post DHL Group, announces it has moved its current distribution center in Orlando, Florida, to a facility that is double the size of its previous location. The new facility has 129,000 square feet of warehouse, conference, training, and office space and employs approximately 145 full-time and part-time employees.

The new distribution center, located at 4752 Judge Rd., Orlando FL, is two miles from the Orlando International Airport. The facility will have two NPI Gen3 Xstream Dual Lane Sliding Shoe Sorters installed this year, processing over 28,000 domestic and international lightweight parcels and packages per hour to different bin destinations such as tubs, carts, and gaylords. Additionally, it will have environmental features such as LED lighting and two electric vehicle charging stations that will be installed by the end of 2023.

“We have operated in the Orlando area for more than a decade, and with this increased space, we can help our long-time and new customers grow while we manage significantly more e-commerce domestic and international volume,” said Lee Spratt, CEO of DHL eCommerce Solutions, Americas.

Orlando is part of DHL eCommerce Solutions’ five-year U.S. growth plan. Since February 2023, the company has moved its Stow, Ohio operation to a wholly-owned building, its Salt Lake City distribution center to a larger facility, and opened in June 2023 a brand new Kansas City, MO distribution center.
