E2open, the one place in the cloud to run your supply chain, announced yesterday that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Amber Road, Inc., in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $425 million.

The acquisition brings unprecedented integration and global trade management (GTM) solutions to customers to further improve margins, lower risks and drive operational flexibility and efficiency. Customers will be able to operate their entire end-to-end supply chain – from sourcing to manufacturing to trade management to logistics and distribution to omni-channel operations – from one place in the cloud.
The two companies expect the transaction to close before the end of the third quarter of FY 2019. Upon closing, Amber Road will become a privately held company. I’ve included the full press release below with additional information on the acquisition and scope of the combined platforms.
As the acquisition is still under regulatory approval we are unable to share more than what is included in the press release (below) at this stage, though I’m happy to follow up when the regulatory approvals are complete to share more and schedule time with an E2open executive.
