Emirates Airline President Tim Clark plans to retire in June next year, according to a spokeswoman for the world’s biggest carrier by international traffic.

Clark joined Emirates’ founding team in 1985 and became its president in 2003, according to his profile on the carrier’s website. Before joining the Dubai-based airline, he worked at Gulf Air and Caledonian Airways.

Clark helped transform Emirates into a global powerhouse and a key customer of Boeing Co. and Airbus SE.

The spokeswoman didn’t give any details on the company’s succession plans.
