Flow Water Technologies is offering a finance solution to ship owners looking to install its new disinfection system fleet-wide.

FlowSafe DCD2000 is a combined Drinking Water and Disinfection Unit which uses commercial level pre-filtration in front of specially selected ultra-filtration.
“As concern to ensure appropriate hygiene measures grow, we have seen a 2,000% percent increase in FlowSafe DCD 2000 orders over the course of the past three months,” said Mark Hadfield, CEO, Flow Water Technologies Ltd.
“We recognise the financial burden that this places on companies with large fleets and, as such, wanted to offer a quick and seamless financial solution so that vessels could be fitted with FlowSafe DCD 2000 as quickly as possible in the interests of the crew and the environment at large.”
FlowSafe DCD 2000 Units produce an unlimited amount of sustainable disinfectant to clean and sanitise both vessels and port facilities, while simultaneously eradicating the CO2 footprint caused by the manufacture of plastic bottles.
Recent comments from the International Transport Worker’s Federation (ITF) and World Health Organisation (WHO) have emphasised the need for vigilance and for proper health and hygiene practices to be observed.
In addition to producing disinfectant, the Flow Safe DCD2000 unit also produces a limitless supply of drinking water.
“FlowSafe DCD 2000 is in line with Flow Water’s core value of no plastics at sea to save the environment while maintaining the health of the seafarer, and we are pleased to be able to offer this finance package in order to help reach this goal.
Every year, thousands of bottles for disinfectants and drinking water are brought on board vessels creating a huge CO2 footprint and adding significantly to the environmental concerns over plastics at sea crisis.
