The Class-A speculative facility, developed by Randolph Development, is the second heavy industrial building that comprises the Portside Distribution Center. The first was completed in early 2021.
The new building, strategically located beside I-26 in the Charleston Distribution Corridor, is suitable for a variety of end-users including logistics companies, aerospace, and automotive suppliers, defense contractors, light manufacturers, and last-mile distributors.
“It was a pleasure working with Randolph Development to deliver both of the Portside facilities. These facilities will support the high demand for industrial space in the Charleston Tri-county distribution corridor,” said Keaton Green, vice president of Frampton Construction.
Thomas & Hutton provided site, civil, and landscape design for the 31-acre development, while McMillan Pazdan Smith provided architectural design. Construction was completed in November of 2022.
