Mar 11 - 17 - Bad weather across a large swath of the country stalled the momentum that had been building on the spot market. That contributed to a downturn in the national averages for van and reefer rates. Volumes are still on par with last year, but capacity has been more plentiful in 2019. Flooding and road closures should lead to higher flatbed demand.
