Gebrüder Weiss, a 500-year-old international transport and logistics company, announced a corporate sponsorship of Humanity Rising, a student-led nonprofit organization with a mission to build the next generation of leaders and social innovators. Gebrüder Weiss donated $5,000 to support the organization's youth empowerment programs, which included a $1,500 scholarship awarded to an outstanding student changemaker from Schaumburg High School.

The supply chain company fosters youth career opportunities through its Gebrüder Weiss Supply Chain Leadership Scholarship, collegiate recruiting, and internship programs.

"Gebrüder Weiss strives to provide opportunities for the next generation of business leaders through scholarships and internships, and we are proud to support Humanity Rising's efforts to empower service-minded students as they pursue their career dreams," says Mark McCullough, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss North America.

Humanity Rising celebrates the service achievements of high school students and recognizes their contributions to creating a more compassionate and better world. A committee of participating students selected local student Samantha Iller, a senior at Schaumburg High School, to receive the $1,500 scholarship funded by Gebrüder Weiss. Samantha exemplifies the spirit of service and leadership celebrated by Humanity Rising. Her impactful experience rebuilding homes with Adventures in Appalachia highlighted her dedication to creating safe and meaningful spaces for families, a commitment she plans to carry into her future career as a commercial pilot, ensuring safety and comfort for all.

"I am incredibly grateful to Gebrüder Weiss and Humanity Rising for this opportunity. My dedication to serving others has become such an important part of my life and will be part of my career in the future," says Iller. "It's wonderful to see organizations championing young changemakers and providing opportunities for us to thrive."
