The project cargo experts from Total Movements Pvt. Ltd., member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, arranged for an Ex Works pickup of generators and their accessories of various sizes and weights, the maximum being 49 tons, from Ennore to the busiest discharge port in Europe.
The scope of the contracted work included inland transport from Ex Works to the load port covering about 400 km, port activities, and ocean transport from India to Europe. Apart from the Covid19 induced restrictions, this shipment was assigned with less than 10 days' notice, for which all the arrangements were made on extremely short notice to meet deadlines. While the shipment was fraught with challenges, Total Movements team was 24/7 available to coordinate with all stakeholders to solve any requirements and physically available in the field to monitor the operations.
With the great support from all the stakeholders involved in the tight transport schedule for this shipment, timely delivery was ensured as per the committed transit time, which is a rare feature in these tough times.
