Polar King International, Inc., the leading outdoor refrigerated and freezer walk-in unit provider, announces Ryan Gonzalez joins the organization as a project engineer. In his new role, Gonzalez will spearhead computer-aided design (CAD) initiatives to support the company's continued innovation in cold storage solutions.

"We're thrilled to welcome Ryan to our research and development team," says Dave Schenkel, President of Polar King International. "His expertise in CAD will be instrumental in designing superior equipment for our nationwide customer base."

Gonzalez joins Polar King after spending three years with Strick Trailers as a design engineer from 2021-24. Before that, he was an intern at the company and was a machine operator at Eaton’s. His hands-on work experience gives him a well-rounded perspective on manufacturing and product engineering, Schenkel says.

Gonzalez has a bachelor’s degree from Trine University in design engineering technology.

“I’m ready to hit the ground running at Polar King,” Gonzalez says. “The company has a great track record for its innovation and it’s ambition, and I can’t wait to help make an impact that has tangible benefits for our customers.”

Polar King's American-made refrigerated and freezer walk-in units remain the industry standard for outdoor cold storage. The units feature a unique 100% seamless fiberglass construction that ensures internal storage remains unaffected by external conditions, even in challenging environments.

These walk-in units require only a basic electrical connection for operation and maintain NSF approval for their sanitary conditions.
