Upgrades to track switches will necessitate Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) suspending Plane Train service between terminals from 11:30 p.m. Saturday, July 29, through 4 a.m. Sunday, July 30. The overnight work will impact passengers on late inbound and early outbound flights as well as employees working during this time.
The required shutdown will support the refurbishment of the Plane Train's switches, which will be wired and transferred to the current system. After careful consideration, it was determined that an overnight complete shutdown was the safest option for passengers and employees.
