Effective January 1, 2025, Henry Forster will assume the role of Managing Director at Fährhafen Sassnitz GmbH. This decision was unanimously approved by the company's shareholders, the town of Sassnitz and the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

A native of Sassnitz, Forster brings extensive experience in successfully developing and transforming the energy performance of companies and industrial sites. His track record includes Nehlsen AG in Bremen, GOA mbH in Baden-Württemberg and, most recently, Ihlenberger Abfallentsorgungsgesellschaft mbH.

Henry Forster will succeed long-time Managing Director Harm Sievers, who retired on September 30, 2024. In the interim period beginning October 1, 2024, Fridjof Ostenberg, the company's former authorized signatory and head of the legal department, has been serving as Acting Managing Director.
