IICL President, Dennis Lombardi, announced that Katherine McCabe, President and Chief Executive Officer of CAI, has been elected to the position of Chairperson of the IICL for 2025, succeeding Daniel Walsh, President and Chief Executive Officer of TRAC Intermodal.
The IICL’s Board also elected, as IICL First Vice President; Jeremy Matthew, Chief Executive Officer, Seaco Global; as IICL Second Vice President; Than Seeds, President and COO of FlexiVan, and as IICL Treasurer; Marco Poggio, Managing Director, TOUAX Container. The past Chairman, Daniel Walsh, President and Chief Executive Officer of TRAC Intermodal, also agreed to continue working with the IICL Executive Committee for another year.
“We expect 2025 to continue the pattern of unpredictability, requiring agile leadership to meet the dynamic transportation needs of our customers. The IICL is well positioned to support our industries this year and embrace the volatility as our “new normal,” said Ms. McCabe.
McCabe is the President and CEO of CAI International. From 2016, she was President and CEO of Beacon Intermodal until its merger with CAI in 2023. With a career spanning three decades in the global finance and transportation sectors, she has a wealth of experience in the container, aviation, rail, and shipping sectors. Throughout her career, Ms. McCabe has held positions at CAI’s parent company, Mitsubishi HC Capital, Bank of America and GE Capital. She holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Finance from Boston College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
