Korean Register (KR) - an IACS member classification society - has announced that it has released its 16th KR-CON.
First launched in May 1997, the innovative software program set out to help surveyors, shipbuilders, and PSC officers to search for IMO instruments more accurately, quickly and conveniently.
For the 16th KR-CON, KR has put considerable effort into the creation of more user-friendly interface. It uses a new font, better-spaced layouts and removing buttons from documents and adding hotkeys to the side navigation so that the users enjoy better readability and easier viewing.
In addition, the enhanced cloud function enables the users to access to the most up-to-date IMO Convention database regardless of their location more quickly and conveniently.
The most recent amendments adopted at the 98th MSC (Maritime Safety Committee), the 71st MEPC (Maritime Environment Protection Committee), SOLAS (International convention for the safety of life at sea), MARPOL (Marine Pollution Treaty) and IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code are all included in the 16th edition of KR-CON.
