Leonard’s Express – a leading transportation services provider offering refrigerated trucking, dry van, warehousing and freight brokerage services – has won the Trucking Association of New York's (TANY) Fleet Safety Award Grand Trophy.
The TANY Fleet Safety Award Grand Trophy is given to a member fleet that has demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to safe operation in New York State. In order to qualify for an award, the judging committee must determine that a fleet has an exemplary safety record and a proven culture of safety. Leonard's Express was one of only five fleets selected from the Fleet Safety Awards applications to compete for the Grand Trophy Award.
"We deeply appreciate the work Leonard's Express has done to keep our roads and drivers safe,” a TANY spokesperson also said in a social media post.
"Leonard's has a bone-deep commitment to safety, our industry and our communities," said Katie Griffin, Director of Fleet Safety at Leonard’s Express. "This commitment starts with safety training on a driver's first day, and continues throughout their tenure with us," she added. "Also, every Leonard’s Express truck is equipped with state-of-the-art safety equipment. It's a combination of technology, training and people that makes us one of the best in the industry."
"Our focus on safety is truly a team effort," added Leonard’s Express CEO Ken Johnson. "All of our employees work tirelessly to ensure our drivers and equipment are the safest on the road. We're deeply honored to have received the TANY Fleet Safety Award Grand Trophy. We want to keep everyone on the road safe."
