PANOPA operates a warehouse measuring more than 75,000 square meters at the logistics optimization centre and handles order picking, empties management and shuttle transport on behalf of the automaker. From there the components are delivered just in time to the automotive plant seven kilometers away where Audi has been carrying out complete mass production of the A3 limousine since summer. A total of 125,000 vehicles are to come off the line in Győr in future. “This order and today’s inauguration of the logistics optimization centre are another major milestone for the development of PANOPA in Eastern Europe,” emphasized Rüdiger Buß during the official opening.
