Mitsubishi Marine Engine is showcasing its 1,260-horsepower Tier 4 marine diesel engine solution at the Pacific Marine Expo (PME), November 17-19, 2022, in Seattle. This will be the first time this engine solution will be exhibited at PME and promoted to the West Coast market.
Mitsubishi’s 12R-Y4MPTAW-3 is fully mechanical, which eliminates many of the reliability and maintenance concerns with electronically controlled engines. Individual heads, access ports for crankshaft bearings, and other practical features allow many repairs to be made with standard tools and without lifting the engine or dropping the pan. This design simplicity is especially advantageous for Pacific Northwest mariners, who often work in remote locations, many miles from specialized technicians.
MTEA is proud of its long-term partnership with the premier West Coast Marine Distributor and is again participating with Cascade Engine Center, LLC at PME. Cascade is a regional distributor that has built a strong reputation for reliable sales and service, and representatives from the company will be in Mitsubishi Marine Engine’s booth (#1439) to discuss the S12R-Y4MPTAW-3 and other engine solutions with customers. Furthermore, MTEA president, Mr. Tatsuro Usuki, will personally attend the show to meet with Cascade president, Don Stark, and further solidify the business relationship.
“Our industry-leading engine solutions offer tremendous opportunity in the Pacific Northwest,” said Mr. Usuki. “Cascade Engine Center is the type of partner we need to grow this market. Their level of service and commitment to the customer reflects the values of our own company and the quality of our products.”
Stark added, “We’re pleased to meet Mr. Usuki and grow our partnership with Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America. Our customers will appreciate the reliability and performance offered by these fully mechanical Tier 4 engine options, and we are serving the market well by stocking Mitsubishi engines and parts.”
