POTI port has been subject to heavy terminal/yard congestion over the past weeks. The congestion is ongoing, and the port and the container terminals are unfortunately not in a position to give MSC any guarantee about when the schedule can return to normal and advise when we will be allowed to berth and discharge the containers. BATUMI port is also congested as a result of all the cargo diverted from Poti due to the berth congestion.

Due to lack of clarity and the extenuating circumstances, MSC is implementing a Congestion Surcharge, CGS, from all USA origin ports to Georgia.

Note that CGS $100/TEU will be effective November 25th, applicable to both Dry and Reefer cargo.
