SCOPE: ALL TERMINALS ON USA WEST COAST, IMPORT (excluding cargo originating from Kingdom, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia (St Petersburg, Kaliningrad), Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Rijeka (Croatia), Koper (Slovenia), Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia) AND EXPORT SHIPMENTS

Effective February 18th, 2021 (March 3rd  2021 for cargo with origin or destination far east)

For the purpose of this rule, terms merchant and carrier have the meanings set forth in carriers contract of carriage terms and conditions (please refer, for example to carriers contract of carriage terms and conditions in rule 8-B sea waybill and rule 8-A bill of lading, MEDU-0XX).

The merchant shall be liable for US West Coast sanitary compliance fee as set forth below and remains liable until the said charges have been paid in full:

Vessel sailing date in export and cargo in-gate date at origin in import

For the cargo originating from and destined to the U.S. Pacific ports, the merchant will be liable for the charges for US West Coast sanitary compliance fee, which is an additional mandatory cleaning protocol implemented by the Pacific Maritime Association, as set forth below

For all SSA Terminals – (LGB – Pier A , OAK- OICT , and SEA T18)

  • USD 3.26 / Full TEU    

For all other Terminals on USA West Coast

  • USD 2.48 / Full TEU
