The North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR) welcomes Patrick Pierce, certified economic developer (CEcD), as its new Director of Economic & Business Development. Pierce most recently served as the Economic Development & Government Affairs Director for the Town of Clayton and brings nearly two decades of economic and business development experience.

"We’re thrilled to welcome Patrick to NCRR,” said NCRR President & CEO Carl Warren. “His extensive experience and passion for fostering economic growth make him a strong addition to our growing team. He will bring new opportunities for rail-served industries in North Carolina.”

Previously, Pierce served as the President & CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County in the Pacific Northwest, where he also worked for the Puget Sound Regional Council and the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce.

“I’m honored to join the North Carolina Railroad Company as the new Director of Economic & Business Development,” said Pierce. “This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a unique company that drives real economic growth across the state.” Pierce graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University.
