Note Logistics, in partnership with Top Freight Brokerage Firm ST Freight is pleased to announce their expansion of a global operations division with the hiring of Ms. Michelle Kodrich, an international supply chain logistics expert.
Ms. Kodrich will serve as Note Logistics’ Senior Director of Global Logistics, a newly created position focused on offering clients an end-to-end supply chain solution and expanding the company’s global reach. “This is a new role Note Logistics developed to implement an international supply chain and to work hand in hand with our domestic brokerage services,” said Mr. Steve Hurvitz, ST Freight Senior Consultant. “We are confident Michelle will take on her new responsibilities with the same enthusiasm and professionalism she has shown throughout her career.”
Through the TMS, she streamlined arranging domestic shipments and assisted with the freight bill auditing process. “This is where my strength lies, process improvement, and where I will be an asset to Note Logistics,” said Ms. Kodrich. “I took Heat Makes Sense from an email-based management system to a cloud-based TMS called Kuebix, which significantly streamlined the process and produced cost savings for the company.” Using a similar TMS will be crucial to managing and expanding an international supply chain for Note Logistics.
Her previous experience interacting daily with all aspects of the supply chain, including but not limited to international freight forwarders, brokers, intermodal carriers and warehouse operators ensured the on-time delivery of shipments and will be an asset to Note Logistics. Ms. Kodrich said the key to success in managing local, national, and international supply chains is building trust with customers and providing transparency through the entire process. “Be proactive and communicate with clients and carriers, especially when there are issues,” she said. “In this business, we are never 100 percent sure of how shipments will run, so if there is a problem, be upfront, honest, and offer solutions. That transparency helps build rapport, which keeps customers coming back.”
