After the opening of its first subsidiary in Spain, Ovrsea accelerates its international development and opens a new subsidiary in the United States.

As part of its international strategy, Ovrsea is opening a subsidiary in the United States, and plans to become a major player in freight forwarding in the country.

The United States is the second largest freight forwarding market in the world after China and it already represents Ovrsea's first market outside of France. Opening a subsidiary in the country is a strategic move for the startup.

The choice of the United States is also motivated by the strong existing links between the American East Coast and Western Europe, where Ovrsea is already established in France and Spain. Penetrating the U.S. market will also be made easier as many of Ovrsea's customers are already shipping in the country through their subsidiaries.

By 2025, Ovrsea hopes to reach a turnover of more than €100m and to recruit 200 employees in the country. Consequently, the company is launching a recruitment campaign for 15 people by the end of 2022.

Arthur Barillas, CEO and co-founder of OVRSEA, says: "The Ovrsea team is proud to announce the opening of a subsidiary in the United States. This is a major milestone in the company's expansion. The strengthening of our presence in the US market will fuel our growth. Our team is convinced that Ovrsea's solutions will bring a strong added value to local companies in the US, where the quality of service is particularly valued.”

Overall, in 2022, Ovrsea plans to recruit 120 new employees, among which 40 will focus on its international development. By the end of the year, OVRSEA will have nearly 200 employees across five countries!
