Port Canaveral, FL – Seaport Canaveral Corp. marked the opening of their newly expanded truck load rack during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held earlier today at their terminal operations center in Port Canaveral.
“Today is truly much more than a ribbon cutting ceremony. We recognize the commitment, the strategic importance, the hard work and dedication to continuous improvement by Seaport Canaveral, one of the Port's most successful partners,” said Port Director and CEO Capt. John Murray. “The growing Central Florida market is driving business in Port Canaveral. We are becoming the ideal gateway for shippers and carriers needing easy access to high-demand consuming markets such as Greater Orlando and Central Florida with more than 68 million visitors annually.”
Seaport Canaveral’s General Manager, Clement Saaltink said, “Since the day that Seaport Canaveral first opened its doors the fuel market changed in Central Florida. We have gone from being a ‘new kid on the block’ to now serving as an important link in the fuel supply chain. With expected growth in Florida, and especially in the Orlando area with the international airport, Seaport Canaveral Terminal is proud to be part of the Florida community and its Space Coast.”
The grand opening of four new truck lanes at Seaport Canaveral brings their total lane capability to ten to keep pace with their tank capacity to meet the growing fuel supply demands of Central Florida.
“Port Canaveral is proud to be Seaport Canaveral’s partner. We welcome your growth which we celebrate today, and we look forward to your plans for the future and continuing to work with you to support our greater region together,” Capt. Murray added.
