Realterm, an independent global investment manager focused on the transportation industry, today announced the acquisition of Schutweg 1, an industrial outdoor storage (IOS) facility with 700 square meters of built area on a 10,800-square-meter site in Waalwijk, Netherlands. The property is fully leased to Arriva, a leading European transport partner operating in 10 countries across the United Kingdom and Europe.
“Located in the intersection of three major pan-European transport corridors, Schutweg 1 is at the center of one of the most important logistics regions in the Netherlands,” said Balazs Lados, Managing Director and Fund Manager at Realterm. “With prominent seaports, inland ports, intermodal hubs, international airports and densely populated consumption centers within short driving distance, Realterm is confident in the long-term value of this IOS secure storage facility.”
The property contains two egress points, allowing for efficient circulation and access to the site, as well as high-quality outdoor space, which is fully fenced and possesses sufficient lighting. In addition, the facility includes a two-story, 390-square-meter office and a maintenance shop with a washing facility on site.
“With this acquisition, we have furthered our commitment and investment to the European market and added another strategically located IOS facility to our portfolio,” said Piet van de Ven, Investments at Realterm. “The Netherlands plays a key role in the European logistics industry and we are thrilled to add such an advantageously configured and positioned property that is suitable for a wide variety of logistics users.”
