Rich Diffley has joined Alter Logistics Company, Bettendorf, IA as Vice President Operations. Rich is very active with Inland Rivers Ports & Terminals (IRPT) where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2012 representing the Upper Mississippi River Basin and has served with the St. Louis Regional Freightway as a Needs Analysis Committee Member identifying infrastructure improvements to help the freight network grow in St. Louis. He holds Inland Port and Maritime Port Executive certifications through IAMPE. Rich’s 23 years of Operations Management started in 1995 in the LTL Trucking Industry. He comes to Alter Logistics from Lange Stegmann Company where he served as Director of Operations responsible for all River, Rail, Truck and Warehousing operations.

Alter Logistics serves barge, truck and rail modes of transportation at its intermodal terminals. Alter facilities in Rock Island, IL, Davenport, IA, and St. Paul, MN work with all the major barge lines, trucking companies, heavy lift crane vendors and container lines to move cargo in the most efficient and economical manner.

Alter Logistics arranges barge freight on the inland waterway system, providing for transportation solutions and barge freight services to their terminals and from other locations. Alter also provides 3rd party warehousing (3PL) services for a variety of goods.
