Schenker-Seino Co., Ltd. and BAX Global Japan K.K. announced the completion of the merger between the two organizations, on January 1st 2007. The combined company operates under the name Schenker-Seino Co., Ltd. The new Schenker-Seino Co., Ltd. will have about 460 employees at 23 locations throughout Japan.

Schenker-Seino Co., Ltd. is a joint venture by Schenker AG, Essen/Germany and Seino Holdings Co., Ltd. Ogaki, Gifu prefecture. Schenker-Seino and BAX Global Japan are joining forces to become one of the industry's leading logistics providers in Japan. Both companies have been active in the Japanese market for over 40 years, with an established portfolio of customers across industries, such as high-tech, automotive, consumer, and chemicals.

The services provided by Schenker-Seino include air and sea freight, land transportation, integrated logistics and supply chain management, customs clearances, IT solutions, projects, fairs & events and household removals.

Schenker and BAX Global are in the process of integrating around the world. The joint organization has a team of about 50,000 experts at 1,500 locations in 150 countries.
