Effective 1st January 2020, the tariff rates associated with the drop of an empty import container (DRP surcharge) will be updated.

The DRP surcharge will remain to be applicable when an empty import container is requested to return to a location different than the designated return depot on the CY Bill of Lading.

With this update of the tariff rates, the intention is to simplify the logic and as well continue to add a level of convenience with this program. As a Sealand customer you have the ability to request the return of an empty import container to a depot that is more suitable to your business needs. This request will then be evaluated by the NAM Equipment team to confirm feasibility and all efforts will be made to accommodate when possible.

DRP Tariff Rates will be updated and reviewed quarterly.
